
Magali Mosnier, flute
After winning the Jean-Pierre Rampal International Competition in Paris in 2001 and the First Prize and Audience Prize at the prestigious ARD International Competition in Munich in 2004, Magali Mosnier has become one of the most sought-after French artists, invited to such venues as the Mozarteum in Salzburg, the Konzerthaus in Berlin, the Lincoln Center in New York, the Rudolfinium in Prague, Laeiszhalle in Hamburg, Herkulessaal in Munich, Teatro Bilbao, Salle Pleyel, Théâtre des Champs Elysées, Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Seoul Arts Center, Bunka Kaikan in Tokyo, Rheingau, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Mostly Mozart New York, Ludwigsburg, Saint-Denis, La Folle Journée, Leipzig Bach Festival, Salzburg Mozart Festival and Mozart Woche
Magali Mosnier performs as a soloist under the direction of conductors such as Myung-Whun Chung, Daniel Harding, Lionel Bringuier, Jakub Hrusa, Andrey Boreyko, Vladimir Spivakov, Louis Langrée with prestigious orchestras such as the Bayerische Rundfunk, the Münchner Rundfunk, the MDR Orchestra Leipzig, the Philharmonia Prague, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, the Stuttgarter Kammerorchester, the Stuttgarter Philharmoniker, the Moskow Virtuosi. Her partners include Nicholas Angelich, Nicolas Altstaedt, Sandrine Piau, Isabelle Moretti, Eric Le Sage, I Musici di Roma, the Quatuor Ebène, Antoine Tamestit and Xavier De Maistre with whom she forms a trio. Magali Mosnier has signed an exclusive contract with Sony Classical (Sony BMG Berlin). Her first album Fantaisie with the Munich Radio Orchestra was released in spring 2006. She was awarded the Klassiche Echo for Revelation of the Year. A second album, devoted to Johann Sebastian Bach, with the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra was released at the end of 2009, followed by Mozart's Concerto for Flute and Harp with Xavier De Maistre and the Mozarteum Orchester in 2013 and her album Mozart with the Münchner Kammerorchester in spring 2015. She has also recorded Vincent d'Indy's triple concerto for piano, flute and cello with Brigitte Engerer, Marc Coppey and the Orchestre de Bretagne under the baton of Lionel Bringuier for the Timpani label and collaborated on recordings of chamber music by Ravel (with Nora Gubisch and Alain Altinoglu), Jacques Lenot, Laurent Lefrançois. Since 2003, Magali Mosnier has been First Solo Flute with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France.
