Born in 2005, Martin Jaspard began playing the piano at the age of 5, first in private lessons, then at the Conservatoire de Gennevilliers, where he received his first musical and pianistic training. At the age of eight, he joined Elisabeth Chaverdian's class at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional d'Angers. Alongside his piano studies, he obtained diplomas in chamber music, music composition, piano accompaniment and music history with Antoine Landowski, Cecile Demillac, Laurence Planchenault and François Micol. He then performed the Schumann concerto with the CRR d'Angers orchestra, and won several prizes: 1st prize at the Mayenne national competition, 1st prize at the Nice Côte d'Azur international competition in the junior category (where he played Haydn's D major concerto) and was a finalist in the Santa Cecilia competition in Porto in the junior category. In 2021 he was admitted to the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris in the piano class of Hortense Cartier Bresson and Fernando Rossano. In 2022 he was admitted to the CNSMDP in accompaniment in Géraldine Dutroncy's class. He has benefited from Fabien Waksman's advice on musical composition.
He has taken masterclasses with a number of pianists, including Claire Désert, David Bismuth, Wolfram Schimdt-Leonardy, Philippe Cassard, Nicolas Malarte, Romano Palotinni and Jean Marc Luisada.
