Samuel Bismut, Piano
Samuel Bismut was born in 1998 and is currently studying for a master's degree at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris in the class of Denis Pascal and Varduhi Yeristian. He is also taking masterclasses with Clarie Désert, Michel Dalberto and Sébastien Vichard.
Samuel Bismut was singled out at the 2019 edition of the Long-Thibaut-Crespin competition, then for his performance of Schubert's sonata in C minor D958 during the final recital of the international Schubert Wettbewerb 2021 (Germany). Winner of the Rosa Sabater prize at the prestigious premio Jaén 2022 international competition (Spain), he was rewarded for his commitment to the Spanish repertoire, and in particular to Isaac Albéniz's great 'Iberia' cycle.
He has also been nominated as one of the "talents Adami 2022" classical revelations, and on this occasion will be giving several concerts in Paris and throughout France this summer.
From an early age, he shared the stage with numerous partners, including the soloists of the Montpellier orchestra. He has been invited to perform as a soloist and chamber musician with the Orchestre Symphonique et Lyrique de Paris, conducted by Luc-Marie Aguera, in Mozart's Concerto in A Major K414, and for the premiere of Sophie Lacaze's work "imobilité sérieuse" for piano and string orchestra. He also forms a duo with clarinettist Anaïde Apélian, with whom he covers a wide repertoire and takes part in various chamber music ensembles.
A regular performer in concert halls, he is particularly devoted to the music of Mozart, Schubert and Chopin, as well as the French piano repertoire of the 20th century. He frequently performs in Montpellier (Salle Molière, Maison des Chœurs), Paris (Notre-Dame du Liban, the pianissimes at the Musée Guimet, the "piano passion" series of Chopin recitals at St-Julien-le-Pauvre), the Saint-Yrieix festival, the Nancyphonies, the Salon de Provence festival, the Musicales de Normandie, the Harmonies du Perche and the "Tons Voisins" international chamber music festival in Albi.
