Sirba Octet : Tsuzamen
SIRBA OCTET composed of Richard Schmoucler, violin Laurent Manaud-Pallas, violin, Hervé Blandinières, viola Claude Giron, cello, Stanislas Kuchinski, double bass, Rémi Delangle, clarinet Christophe Henry, piano, Lurie Morar, cimbalom
Made up of friends who are members of the Orchestre de Paris, the Orchestre National de France and the Orchestre de l'Opéra de Paris, as well as a pianist, a cimbalom player and an arranger, the Sirba Octet is an ensemble halfway between classical academicism and traditional Eastern European music. It offers an original interpretation of the klezmer, Yiddish, gypsy and – in this case – Armenian repertoire.
A celebration of these cultures, of the history of these often-bruised peoples, of their joys as well as their sufferings, ‘Tsuzamen’ creates a moving dialogue, a symbol of hope and fraternity.
