Akilone, female quartet
The Akilone Quartet, composed of four exceptional musicians, is a particularly promising young ensemble and one of the emerging quartets not to be missed this summer in Colmar.
The four musicians have chosen to present two contrasting works: Beethoven's famous ‘Harp’ Quartet, which combines expansive breathing, luminous clarity and inner tension, and Mendelssohn's Quartet in E flat, where youthful élan meets fluid elegance of writing, culminating in the contrapuntal brilliance of the final fugue.
A juxtaposition in the form of a conversation full of life and sensitivity.
