Ayano Kamei, piano
A pianist of rare sensitivity, Ayano Kamei shapes her musical universe with profound sincerity and a constant quest for poetic sound. Of Japanese origin, she moved to France to deepen her love of French music. Captivated by the colours and lights of Debussy, Ravel and Poulenc, she explores a repertoire in which clarity and flexibility of touch play a fundamental role.
A multi-faceted artist, she divides her career between solo piano, chamber music and opera. This triptych has led her to perform in some of the most beautiful venues in France, such as the Salle Boulez of the Philharmonie de Paris, the Salle Cortot, the Théâtre de l'Athénée, the Opéra Comique and the Opéra de Bordeaux.
A passionate vocal coach, she collaborates with singers and conductors in opera productions, accompanying the voices with remarkable musical sensitivity. As a chamber musician, she performs in various ensembles, notably with Les Apaches. She also excels in the interpretation of contemporary music, showcasing her sense of rhythm and expressive precision. More recently, she has premiered solo piano pieces by composers such as Atanas Ourkouzounov and Guilherme de Almeida.
Always on the lookout for inspiring repertoires, she has recorded her first album, My Treasure Box, an intimate journey through the piano works that marked her childhood. This programme brings together masterpieces such as Bach's Italian Concerto, Ginastera's Three Argentine Dances, Ravel's La Valse and Schumann's Kinderszenen.
Trained in Japan and then at the Conservatoire Supérieur de Paris, she studied piano with Marie-Josèphe Jude and Sébastien Vichard, accompaniment with Jean-Frédéric Neuburger and vocal coaching with Erika Guiomar. She is currently studying for her Artist Diploma at the Conservatoire and is an academic at the Opéra-Comique as a vocal coach.
